January 11th - Meeting/Work Done

Our meeting today was quite brief and the first half was held by Pete. Pete wanted to see how we were with our production, what we need to do and if we had any questions. So far we have most of the vital parts up and working. We have a full, rough script for the first episode, Facebook, Twitter and a few other pages being set up. There is also a advertising/fan page on blogger which will be updated as much as the others. We have a few people auditioning for each of the characters and we have yet to hold the date for the auditions. Finally, we have the name for our series designed and just needs to have a photo taken and uploaded.

We then decided to have a brief meeting in our group and discuss what needs doing today and who will be doing what. I am completing the sound for the series and working on a bit of the Facebook sites. My job for today was to send email to a band call The Avalanches, ask whether we could sample their one of their songs and then if I get a reply quick enough, sample it and put it together in MP3 format. I then needed to put that sample and a few others together for a practitioner, who said that he would put something together for us if we gave him ideas of what we wanted. However, I didn't get this far as the band has yet to reply so I decided to work more on the Facebook pages and I managed to access to edit the site today so I am now able to do a lot more with it.
Today the rest of the group decided to start making some practice footage for the first episode, as the majority of the actors may end up being part of our group. I spent half of my time today going in and seeing how it was going. It seemed to be going really well and it has given them an insight to which characters they want to play and who would work better for the role if they get it. I think we managed to get a lot and it will be really useful and it will help us when it comes to shooting the real thing.

Today went quite well and I think it was the most productive day we have had. I will be working to help keep it like it. I know that there are a lot of things that we need to do and I think that we could be doing these a lot quicker. We need audition dates,times and place, more website pages to be set up and a lot more posted on each of them and I think it would be useful for us to make a plan of what we need to do and when, how we are going to complete it.
